EDIT: I got to reading the other answers, and now I have to amend mine coz I can see from that one's point of view: I have run away from home. (Before I was married.) I knew my dad would still beat the crap out of my mom and she would still hit my brother if she was too close to him and feeling stupid. But I had a plan, a stupid one, and didn't intend to leave them there long. I ended up coming back home when they found out I was missing....
