Have you any evidence for this statement? Perhaps you live in a predominantly white area, and so visit predominantly white gay bars and clubs.
I have no statistics to hand, but, in my own experience, this is not the case ... no matter what you say.
Whilst your last statement seems a compliment, it does put you in the ignorant idiot class of poster.

For some reason people seem to think there are more gay and lesbian Caucasians. That not really true. In our group of friends one other couple and my partner and I were the only ones. The other friends were from many different ethnic back grounds. The club we went to also was the same. The differences can be attributed to the social and religious backgrounds of the family they come from. It is considered as "abnormal" and such a "sin", that most are either still in the closet or are living a lie in a marriage to a heterosexual and feel they can't be themselves. It is sad that people must condemn something they don't understand and don't want to understand when the opportunity is there. Happy Hoildays

I'm sorry, but if 'most' are white, it is because you live in an area where whites are in the majority. I've done research into the 'statistics' of homosexuality among animals, and also about the statistics of homosexuality among the various races/colors in humans. The statistics are very clear ... 10% of any population are exclusively heterosexual, 80% are 'bi-sexual' (having both fantasies and/or face to face contact with both genders), and 10% are exclusively homosexual. Also, they are distributed over the same 'physical makeup' as people, too, so if you mistakenly think most gays are 'hot and sexy' I think that you are assuming that the people in the bars and entertainments that you think of as being 'gay' and 'lesbian' are 'hot and sexy' ... but most gays, like most people, have homes that they go to after their very normal jobs, and they, too, look JUST LIKE the rest of us.

A lot of black people come from communities where homosexuality is unacceptable, therefore they hide it. Don't know where you are based but if you go to certain bars in London, they can be most definitely black. Kudos by Charing Cross Station was a case in point. It also still has a very large oriental clientele.

it could be that white people feel freer to come out of the closet than minorities where being gay is still very taboo or that white people have more money so they are more likely to be out in the public gay scene. but I am in new york city and there are plenty of black and latino gay men. if you go to japan their is a huge gay population and not a white person in site.
I think you are just looking in the wrong places. we are here, we are queer and we are all races and colors.. its a rainbow baby.. get used to it.

most of the gays and lesbians are know are definitely the opposite of hot and sexy. why are they appearing to be mostly white? white people i think are probably more open to and admiting to the fact that they are gay whereas in other cultures people seem to not "come out" as much for society reasons.

All people regardless of their sexuality all look different, some are perceived as attractive and some are not.
There are just as much people of the gay community all with different colours of skin not just white.
I don't know where you are getting your so called Facts from but they have no basis of reality.

Maybe its where you live and the media you are exposed to.
Maybe its the fact that white people are more open about it (just a guess, its not a fact in reality)

If you were asking this question in regards to Japan or Ethiopia, it wouldn't make sense, let alone be true. If you're referring to the US or UK, the reason is the ethnic make up of the population is Anglo. Race has nothing to do with sexuality whatsoever.
