I heard she was a supporting lead, but was wondering if she got a lot of scenes?

Yes, Eulalie is a stitch! She is the mayor's wife and keeps rehearsing some god-awful tableau throughout the play with other ladies -- "One Grecian urn ... two Grecian urns ... and a fountain." Supporting lead, however, is stretching it a bit. Marian and Harold are the stars or leads; Mrs. Paroo and Marcellus are the co-stars; and behind them are a bunch of featured players with lots of good stage time -- Mayor and Eulalie Shinn, Tommy Djilas, the barbershop quartet, and Winthrop.

She has several scenes. It is a great character part. Not everybody can play Marian. If Eulalie is offered to you, take it.

Elli, what do you care about that for? What is important is that it is a good role. How big it is is not important unless you are casting it and unsure of the ability of the actress. If you have been cast in this role, just thank God, and do it. Stop being such a prima donna.
