It comes a complete schock and my condolences go out to his family friends and Redskins orgainization. Its such a sad thing that such young, great talent goes to waste because people are so ungracious and rob others to get ahead in life. He was a new father and really began to turn his life and attitude around. Sadly that child will never know her father

Absolute sadness, disappointment, & travesty especially for his family. Why do people seem to put themselves in these predicaments? Maybe it was a random thing, but he had a machete in his room for safety. Now do all pro-athletes do this, or is there something we didn't know about him? I mean i've seen these shows with famous athletes and stuff, and it seems to me that their houses are well guarded with camera's, securities, and high iron metal gates and bars, along with house sensors and securities. How could this just happen? I hope there wasn't an affiliation with drugs or mobsters, but just a month earlier a report said an intruder left a knife on his bed. Reality Check!! Get the hell out of there and move to some place safer. Or get out these bad situations you are putting you and your family in. I hope people learn from this and realize life is short and unexpected, don't ruin it by getting involved with the wrong people, enjoy what you have and live life to the fullest, not the greediest.

Obviously it is terrible when anyone dies like this, especially at such a young age, but given his track record (which includes an armed assualt arrest), i can't say the news is shocking to me. I'm sure when the dust settles, this will be much more than a random robbery. I'm sure someone was after Taylor for a reason. Live like a thug, die like a thug.

That's really sad. I read the article yesterday when he was still alive. I feel very bad. So tragic that he should go from a gunshot wound to the leg. Unfortunately it hit his femoral artery causing alot of blood loss. It's a shame. We'll say a prayer.

yeah, this is a tough thing for everyone. it's made worse because some people seem to think this was all somehow his fault. it's just a horrible tragedy on many levels. AND if that bullet doesnt hit and sever the femur artery, he recovers. but it did....very sad.

It is a terrible tragedy and despite his personal problems and NFL problems, he didn't deserve to be cut down in his prime. Hopefully the perpetrator will be caught! It's horrible. May he R.I.P!
