Every adult would get about $40,000 worth of assets, but it would not be cash, but stocks, bonds and real estate, so the return on the investment would be about 2-3000 dollars a year.For most of the people in the world this would be a lot of money, but for most people who live in the developed countries, it would mean only a nice vacation every year or maybe a newer car. It would not make anyone rich.

There are millions and millions of people who live on less than a few dollars a day. Only very few who have a lot of money. My guess is that we'd all be poor.

Neither. If it were all split equally, there would be no upper/middle/lower class. At least not financially.
