Plenty.... Don't you? If not you must live in a fairly sheltered inviroment.... I mean, there are pleanty of them out there....
You can have a non religious marriage..... And although the origin of marriage comes from a religious belief, i think today its more about two people being in love, and making a commitment to one another, not to god.... And Atheists can still do that....
Also, being married vs not being married can bring up some legal issues if there ever were any regarding children, living arraignments, what to do in cases of emergency etc..... If you love someone enough to spend the rest of your life with them, you want to be seen by society and the law as part of there immediate family, not some floosey on the side....

Why wouldn't an Atheist be able to be married? I know plenty. They are really cool commitment ceremony's that drag on and on with lots of song and prayer dragging it out.
My husband and I (we are Modern Satanists) did something called a Hand fasting ceremony because neither of believe there is a god or devil so having a christian wedding would have been against our beliefs.

I likely know several dozen people who would define themselves as Atheist, more than half are married. And, not always to another Atheist.

most people i know i would call aethists, in that they are not actively practicing any religion, they are too busy HAVING A LIFE. I know loads who are married, so what. marriage is about two people who love each other committing to each other. it has nothing to do with religion unless you want it to be. I got married on a beach in Jamaica.

yeah...they usually go down to the courthouse (justice of the peace) or a non-denominational/non-religious wedding chapel to get married. Marriage isn't a religious ceremony. A traditional christian wedding is, though. Don't confuse the two.
