Well I agree most women are weaker than men. But the best woman cricketer in the country can be better than the worst man cricketer in the national team.

Mixed doubles only can work where opposing male and female do not have a DIRECT competition against each other where the male can simply out-muscle the female. That is not fair and not worthy of a competition. In tennis and badminton the volleys are team versus team, any return at any time might be fielded by either the male or female but it's not a head-to-head man vs woman thing.

Man versus woman events are held every now and then but it's mostly in an exhibition-type atmosphere.

Mixed golf pairs is fun, too. Mixed bowling is great.

Depends on what sport you really are talking about. Badminton and Tennis the mixed doubles work very well. There's nothing with women are weaker than men. In badminton that's true for most of it, but the women are still better at net play (which is why they go up front mostly when not sides).

At amateur level it is done in lots of sports, but at Pro-level it is always money which dictates new forms of sport. The only other prolevel sport I know off where men and women compete in the same leagues and without handicaps is motorsports.
Apparently no commercial need is seen for mixing the sexes.

You are absolutely right. Have you seen Chak De? Remember the Men vs Women match? We should have something like that.

Mixed doubles is done very well in golf also. Why it is not commercialized in order to make it appealing to the pros puzzles me.
