No; it's all misdirection. This administration is so unimaginably bad, that they have to give the people something to hate. So, it's the aliens. Except for Native Indians, many of whom don't acknowlege borders anyway, we're all aliens. There is a "landed Immigrant" law, but that's just another one that's overlooked. We've turned into a nation driven by fear and hatred, day-dreaming of shoe bombs and attache case nukes. Imagine a guy with a bomb in his sneaker. Funny walk? or a guy casually walking around Times Square with a 200lb. attache case. Strange lean. We seem willing to believe all this and apparantly do. Then go home and watch Bill O'Reilly for our news.

No, their good is downplayed and their harm is exagerrated.

If we legalized them, a lot of the harm would be eliminated:

They would be forced to pay taxes, which would offset the medical / educational services they use. We could even make a higher tax bracket for ALL legal residents... kind of like a residency fee.

We would have to figure out how to slow the pace of border crossers though. Maybe we could make a waiting list : ) They could just sign up and wait for their turn. Anyone who crosses "early" is sent to the back of the line... Ha ha, like that.
