my name means a king or a crown in greek, it was also a christian martyrs name, I was born on his saints day. So I am very proud of it and would never change it, it was a give from two very special people, my parents, it would be offensive to them or their memory to reject such a wonderful gift, parents dont just pick names for their children, (wll with the exception of some I see on TV in USA, with the made up names, like Ionlean djon etc., ) Normal parents (there are lots) give lots of consideration and thought to names. My daughter hates one of her names but its hers and she has it lol. Lucky I gave her three christian names so two out of three is ok i guess lol.
If you are not happy with a name look up the meaning then find another name with same meaning, to change it to, its the meaning in gereral that counts most of the tiime.

Well I have thought about changing my name, but I`ve had it for 49 and a half years now and I`m used to it.

I love my name since its parents' given name to me. It's a combination of my grandparents. My mom said my gramdma knitted my name on a cloth when I was still seven month old inside mom's womb. Mom would always talk to me mentioning my name.
Later, as she gave birth to me that special cloth knitted with my name was my first dress.
I love my name...anyone calling me by my name reminds me how these people waited the time for me to come out on this world and see me grow and be part of their lives.
And one more thing, I would never dare change it. It's priceless ;e)

my name is Karen, and i don't really like or dislike it... i did wish it was different when i was in secondary school, as i ended up being in classes with anything up to 4 other karens... never disliked it enough to seriously consider changing though.
i believe that the name Karen is derived from the Norse version of Katherine. it's supposed to mean 'Pure' yep - u can laugh about it if u want, i know i do ! lol

My name means God has created wealth, I love my name cos it's meaningful and says something positive. I believe names should mean something positive and contribute towards making you be a better person in life.

I don't like my name.........i've looked up the meaning before and it means, "dark and mysterious". Never thought of changing it, wouldn't that be very confusing??? xxx

You can have any name you want. The name you use to introduce yourself to other people is the name they will always know you by. Many people go by their middle name.

i used to love my name, kaylee. it was really unique, i never knew anyone else with it. now 2 girls in 2 of my classes have the same name.
i have changed my name, but just my last name, long story
i havent really given it much thought tho, i wouldnt answer to the new name tho, lol

I never liked my name as a child - I wanted something really trendy but I appreciate my name now. It is a popular name - not very original though.
