I mean, don't you get the feeling that you should never trust anyone again? Because the person you trusted, has already revealed your secret to everyone. The person you considered your friend, has broken his promise?

hey sweety!what happened?
It hurts a lot.....and when a friend does that,it hurts all the more....
But true friends are those who do keep your secrets....And they are trustworthy. You need to draw the line about whom to confide in and whom to not...
So,understand who your true friends are and trust them....But try to see who fits into that category....
and cheer up aki!all this is a part of life dearie..It happens with everyone.
Just be cautious from now on.....

U are betrayed by someone u trust that does not mean u won't find a better Friend that u can trust. U have ur trust on her but she blasted out to everyone. This kind of Friend is useless and should not be considered as a true Friend. Never tell her secret again in the future. He has broken his promise is a bad thing. I believe that u will find a true Friend that u can share ur secret. Never give up hope that u won't find someone u can trust. Trust ur feeling and the believe u have on that person. its hard to explain, depends on hw u judge ur Friend.

If I told someone that I trusted a secret, I would trust them not to tell anyone else because it is not their place to tell. I would feel betrayed by that person and I know from that moment on not to ever tell that person anything if I didn't want it to get out. You really need to think before you speak. If there is no one that you can really trust, try writing it on a piece of paper to vent your feelings or secrets... then burn the paper! After that being said, you have that feeling of relief that your secret has been told and it is also secure because there is no evidence. Try that out and see how you feel. One major point: Write it as if your were writing a friend or the person it was intended for... Then Burn It. I hope this helps. :)

I think breaking a trust, that has specifically been made clear is something that should remain a secret between you and a friend, is pretty low. Personally, I would never pass on anything somebody told me in confidence. I guess it just comes down to personal ethics. But, yes, it's hard to believe you can trust anyone else again after something like that happens.

Not everyone is like that, there are people who feel like some of us who think that when someone tells you a secret it should be kept a secret. Next time try to be careful with people you trust, remember trust like respect is fragile, so do not stop trusting SOME people.

No, I get pissed and drop that friend, or I have gotten even but that's sort of childish and didn't make me feel any better. You just have to be really careful because bottom line, you can't really trust anybody so give friends a trial run with things that aren't that important before you decide if they are worthy of the important stuff. I'm not a negative person, just realistic.

this has happened to me recently. I still feel betrayed, but I am a very forgiving person. Therefore, it was a hard lesson learned. I now know and realize that whatever personal matters I have are exactly what they are... personal, and I need to keep these things to myself, because I don't want this to happen again. I don't trust a whole lot of people for this reason, and as for the person that blabbed my business, she is still a friend, just now one that I know I can't talk to like I thought I could. Screw me over once, shame on you, screw me over twice, shame on me. Meaning, if she does it again, it's my fault for forgiving her in the first place.

Oh my god the same thing happened to me. It felt worse than any other break up with like a boyfriend. It happened to me years ago and it still hurts when I see her and I just can't believe she did that to our friendship. But since then I mean I trust my friends now I just don't tell any secrets just in case they get out. I dunno it is just amazing to me how people can be with others they consider friends. I know I would never do that!

Very true. I recently experienced an incident exactly like this. My friend told everyone at the lunch table and it just spread like wildfire from there around my whole school. My reputation is now at stake and I am seriously giving thought to my friendship with that friend.

Friendship is all about trust and loyalty.

Yes, I feel completely betrayed and feel like I will never want to trust anyone again. I believe this has happened to most people and that is why so many people have trouble trusting people.
