Yes, it's was the corner stone of her 1st lady agenda and she has been mentioning it quite a bit on the campaign trail. I have not heard much about it from her stint as Senator in NY however so not sure if she shelved the idea when it got shot down the first time and just brought it out to buy votes this time around. It's sort of hard now days to know what politicians really believe and what they say just to get votes!

OMG I am reading your answers and I realise one thing: A lot of you are flipped out of the word: Socialist. The American brain washing propaganda has got to a lot of you thinking that having universal healthcare is socialist hence communist hence bad!!!
I am pretty sure she will do it too but why look at that sooo negatively??? Almost all of the countries have universal health care - even a lot of developing ones and it has worked well for those, why not work for the States.
It will probably strain the budget at the begining and there will be a lot of adminstration and red tape problems, there always is - but after a while it should work just fine!
Believe me having it is great - 40% of my pay check goes to taxes, but I don't care about paying at the dentist, having a surgery and not being able to afford it and so on...

Of course. She's said as much. But as is always the case with the Clintons, you have to dismiss what they say and watch what they do. They'll say anything so the only real way to know their agenda is to watch them. Hillary has a history of socialist action. If elected to the most powerful office in the land she will push that agenda and she has the, um, tenacity to do it. Any democrat that opposes her will will find his life, both political and personal, destroyed. Anyone who opposes Hillary does so at their own peril.
Socialist tend to be that way. Submit or perish...at least figuratively for now.

Unfortunately for us, she has caved to the interests of the insurance companies. From what I understand of it, her plan mandates that everyone should be required to buy insurance. That isn't a plan, it is an edict, and beyond the means of many people to comply with. She will make cheaper policies available by the government, which according to her theory, will gradually nudge out the private insurance providers. I think that is wishful thinking on her part, and will probably never happen. We need universal health care, paid for by the government, just like every other industrialized nation has for their people. Dennis Kucinich has the best plan, even though it will indeed raise taxes, we will at least get something tangible for the money.

Please, don't say things like that!! It's scary enough that's she's a Senator, I can't even imagine the horror if she were ever elected President.
But to answer your question, yes she would try to establish universal healthcare. She's a socialist pig!!

Heaven forbid she does....I pay enough taxes to support scofflaws.
Besides if you look at the current medical systems of the Vets, and welfare and seniors....it's going to be a nightmare of red tape delays and costs running amok without accountability.

I don't concern myself with her, simply because it will never happen. Check the polls, she trails every republican front runner, and falling. To answer the question, it is very much a part of her main platform, so the answer is yes.

I hope so. But I'm betting she will cave in and give us some terrible forced health care system, where you get in trouble if you're not insured, like some states have with car insurance.
After NAFTA, I just don't trust the Clintons.

Yes, along with a myriad of other socialist programs, jacking our taxes up to pay for it all.

...Yes. Anything and everything that will buy her votes, that will disgrace the US, and a bigger federal power grab (meaning fewer liberties and personal freedoms for you and me).
...Bubba will oversee the White House housekeeping...
