I know, i know....live life to the fullest, no regrets, water under the bridge, don't dwell in the past, everything has a good side and every mistake is a valuable lesson to cherish. But still.....we all have things we would do differently given the chance......what's yours?

my regrets: my 2 marriages even though i love my children. i should have taken MORE TIME to get to know him and his family. (1st marriage - 2 weeks after going out. 2nd marriage - 1 week).

My biggest/dumbest mistake was not going straight to college and marrying my husband. I could have made so much more out of my life. Now he's just a 15 year long weight around my ankle. This marriage has been like an internal plague, slowly eating me up from the inside. I just smile and bear it..waiting for the 14 more years when my kids leave for college and I can restart my life...this time, leaving my mistakes behind.

I got on the wrong track when I was in my senior year in high school. I got into a huge argument with my mother and moved out and in with my biological father....of whom was never around the entire time I was growing up. I never even met him until I was 16. I was a straight A student and was going to graduate in 6 weeks. Within two weeks, I dropped out of school and the whole works. That is the one thing I would have changed. I am making up for it now.....9 years later. I am now enrolled in college with a 4.0 grade point average.

Well I know the saying is, "No regrets."

But we all know, in our minds, that we have regrets. Even if you say you dont have regrets. Some say they learn from thier mistakes. that has some truth though.

My regrets:

-Not to let my mother's alcoholism affect my life so much.
(became anorexic, partied excessively, got in trouble, affect my sports ability, poor grades. I was numbing my feelings).
This was all in college. This one I am still learning from them and have stop most of them but it took a while.

-A couple of relationships were cut short because i was to pushy to want a "relationship". Too smothering. (hopefully i learned from that for the next one)

-That I didnt use up all my savings.

-not getting my masters straight out of college

-pushing away the nice guys that had things for to see later they have relationships with someone else.

-drinking too much in college and after. a lot of blackouts.

-I cant remember the rest right now :)

Some things i keep to myself but...yes i have regrets...but i REALLY feel that most people learn something from them whether it be little or a lot.

I would have taken less drugs druing year 12, and hopefully realized that I had an actuall problem with them.... And hopefully realized that my Girlfriend at the time loved me but she was not very good for me.....

But as you said, lessons learnt, I was living life to the fullest I supose I could have contested too at the time.... and I dont regret anything as such..... But when you put It like that, this is one thing I would have done differently.....

I regret ever starting to answer questions such as this, I also regret leaving the army, I regret not being rich, I regret not having a bed full of women (all the time I mean), I regret not shooting the b who lives at the back of me as he is a pest, I regret leaving school with no qualifications and having to go to night school for my HNC and Degree, I regret not saying good bye to my dad, when I left him in the hospital to go home to shave, as he died just after I left, I regret leaving home one day and coming home finding my dog dead, I regret finding my wife in bed with another guy, I dont regret what I did about it, I regret losing my temper lots, I regret not having more children, I regret being born somedays. I dont regret being alive now, nor living life, but I do regret watching my soccer team lose... life is **** at times its great at times, no one, I mean no one has no regrets.

If I had my life again all would be same probably, ........ I do regret throwing a shovel at a boss as a 19 year old, I missed, if I lived life again I would get him next time.

I would have never ever done drugs. Even though I am sober now. I have lost so much as a result of my choice. Friends have died, I have been arrested andthe most hurtful thing is the pain I have caused my family over the years.

Laughing at an offer of Marriage because the guy was my best friend and I had a boyfriend. Then found out he meant it.
Ouch! He was a much better guy than the ex.

Vacation this year, kinda haunts me, I feel responsibility in the accident, although it kind of has nothing to do with me, you know? Like I wanted to come back earlier, if we stayed later then it would have been too dark outside... but, theres nothing that can be done.

Just one... ever learning how to smoke and liking it! That is one mistake where there is no valuable lesson to cherish.
