i have a 2072 cub cudet hydrostatic garden tractor and i need to change the tranmission oil but i don't know what type i should get for it. I want to put it through a series of tractor pulls. So there for i need to get new transmission oil so that it won't burn up.

Check with the manufacturer or a repair shop for them...should be just regular hydraulic oil. If you plan on working it real hard, consider an auxillary cooler.

my answer is you need to check what kind of hydrostatic transmission oil that they use..
