read in part..".I get emails from people I don't really care about"..... That made me stop and think...just how well do we care about people on here and our "Friends".....? I mean if this person can say this on a public form what does that say about any of us....?

OK....maybe I am wrong to think that we are "friends" on here....is that it? Do we just not really care about each other but say we do? I guess I need to know how this game is played.....!

Another thing...It is the way the question is worded..."people I don't really care about" I mean come on it should not have been said at all...or it could have read "People I don't even know" that would have fit in the question just fine....

um...i am the one that posted that question....and it was directed at someone else who put that in THEIR answer....and i had JUST emailed them....so i was asking THAT question directed at her as JOKE.

A true friend doesn't play games with you. She's not a friend, merely an acquaintance and not worth putting too much more effort into the relationship due to the fact that she doesn't want to put forth effort herself. Friendship is like any other great relationship full of give and take. Find a friend who appreciates you for you, no matter what your skin color, clothing/hair style, bank account, religion, connections, relationships and your faults. True friends pick each other up, tell each other when the other is wrong and then encourage each other to make the good choices for the other person. Nothing less.

Wow...that person could have worded it better than that...then again, I think sometimes some people really don't care what they say...they just see the monitor in front of them and don't give a flip about who is on the other side...
All I can do is be my self and be as good a friend as I can...

I would make sure to not email that person just in case I was annoying them. That way they can be with their "select": group of friends that they do want to get email from.
I had a similar thing happen where a friend of mine who is younger than me said something about how people who are older are annoying, etc. I made sure to never email them or IM again just in case I was that annoying person.

I would never even think of posting a question like that. I have many friends here... some are closer to me than others, but I like all of them. That's why I call them friends.
If they really don't want emails from certain people, there are better and nicer ways to handle it.

For most of us, it's not a game, and we make genuine "friends" on here and therefore do care. I know I do, if anything, sometimes I care too much.

Well I'd be confused.
Than I would ask the person if they're talking about me being one of those people and ask them to be honest about it.
If I am one of those people they "don't really care about" I would move on and stop emailing them and stop worrying about it.
Some people would rather be rude about you than to be honest.

maybe they meant they get emails from people that are bugging them? it doesnt mean it purtains to you, i know me personally, care about my contacts. I have grown pretty close to a few of them.and i dont email anyone that i dont feel i have a close friendship with. so, dont take it personally, it could be that they are getting emails from ppl that are really bothering them.

the truth is that life on Y!A is just like our normal daily lives, some people are considerate and truly care, and for some people its just a show.
