i have honda civic automatic, 6 years old

what costs roughly should i expect to pay to repair the issue?

Assuming there isn't an actual problem and it is just a matter of the light staying on, remove the fuse from that sensor.

the light is on for a reason. That light can come on for any of over 150 conditions that can cause the vehicle to exceed the emissions limits that it was designed for. The on-board diagnosis system stores a code any time the light is triggered.

take the car to Auto Zone parts store or to AAMCO transmissions and they will pull the code for you for free. Once they get the code they can tell you what the code is for and estimate a repair at that time.

it doesn't cost anything to find out. to guess at this point would be imprudent. get the code for free at either of those places and if you need help at that point then post on Yahoo Answers

Its telling you theres a bulb out?or not working properly.Check all the bulbs especially the wing ones.Hope this helps
