my professor wants me to write a report about Boston between the years 1760 and 1770. I've been trying to research and have found absolutely NOTHING within this decade... a few things here and there but I can't write at least 3 pages on a few things... can anyone help me? what was the economical, social, and political issues at that time? if you can just give me one thing that would be great....

OH and the Boston Tea Party happened in 1773 (not in my time period) and i already have the Boston Massacre in 1770

Here's a website. I found it by going to ask.com and typing in Boston 1760 to 1770.

What I would do is go to JSTOR, or any history-focused journal archive/search engine type device (often they're better than your university's library search engine, and may also have online resources worth reading). Many of these require you to have a subscription to use, however if you contact a librarian you will be able to ask which archives you have access to through your institution. I'm assuming you're in University because you said professor - if you're in high school, though, you may still be able to use the engines, and anyway it won't hurt to ask. Failing that you should probably be able to go into a University library and look at texts even if you can't borrow them out.

Why is it important to find articles from this decade on something that happened c.240 years ago? Articles up to 30 years old will be just as accurate, although not as pretty. I wouldn't recommend using anything earlier than 1950, just because methods for historic doccumentation have changed somewhat. If you find anything from earlier, you may want to include it or look at it out of interest, however! Essay markers love a student who includes things that other students don't have - they have to mark a lot of them after all.

Sorry I can't give you any more specific adivce, but that is what I would do. I would also avoid anything you can't reference in an Oxford or Harvard referencing style and avoid Wikipedia like the plague (it is often wrong.) (Or at least, never reference Wikipedia ever, even if you use something like dates. It's better to stay away though.)

It was around 1764 or 65 that the Patriots and the Sons of Liberty under John Adams began the Letters of Correspondence foisting hate and discontent against their soveriegn King with the imposition of the Stamp Act and the Sugar Act.
