slope = (x1 - x2)/y1 - y2)
= (-2 - 6)/(5 - -3)
=-8/8
=-1

So you have (-2,5) and (6,-3)
(x,y).

Slope is the subtraction of the y's over the subtraction of the x's.

You could do -3-5 divided by 6-(-2) which would give you -8/8 which is -1.

You could also do 5-(-3)over -2-6 which give you 8/-8, which is also -1.
