The embodied spirit of St. Nicholas, is very alive and real. The spirit of a giving soul to those in need and to make someone feel special. Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Clause and we all see him every day and all year long giving. He may have a different costume on at certain times and you may not be able to recognize him but he is real.

The Santa Claus tradition comes from Nicholas Claus the Bishop of Ulm in Germany hundreds of years ago. This real person was also mixed as time went by with the ancient psuedo-pagan mythical figure of Father Christmas. Nicholas of Ulm used to pass out gifts to poor kids at Christmas from a horse drawn sleigh. He was cannonized (made a saint)after his death by the Catholic church.

Santa Claus is real because he was already declared a saint. Therefore, if he is a saint, he can perform miracles such as giving gifts to a mass number of good children

Santa Clause is actually a real fairy. He is actually named Sant D. Kluas. He lives up north and was always being bothered by humans so he figured if he gave the humans gifts that they would leave him alone.

Santa Claus, also known as Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle, or simply "Santa" was a historical figure. Saint Nicholas of Myra is the primary inspiration for the Christian figure of Santa Claus. He was a 4th century Christian bishop of Myra in Lycia, a province of the Byzantine Anatolia, now in Turkey. Nicholas was famous for his generous gifts to the poor, in particular presenting the three impoverished daughters of a pious Christian with dowries so that they would not have to become prostitutes. He was very religious from an early age and devoted his life entirely to Christianity. So in this sense, yes, Santa Claus was real.

Yes, of course he is real! The magic and hope are needed by all. And... how else to get ornery little kids to be good this time of year? Sing carols, watch a child's eyes light up, play in the snow, and share what you have. How can one question while doing these things?
