I wash dishes in a double sink and in the basin with the dish drying rack, the bubbles come up, soiling the dishes I've just washed and leaves a mildew if I don't clean it every time. Is this something I can fix or is it something I have to live with. Any answers would be much appreciated!

It sounds like you might have a clog trying to form in your sink. A good dose of Liquid Plumber or a similar product should help.

You could try putting a dish towel beside the sink and putting the dish rack there: At least, that will keep your dishes from getting dirtied again.

Good luck!

1. Use a cleaner that you pour down the sink (Draino, if you live in Canada), to unclog and clean the pipes. Pour HOT water down both sides.
2. Reduce the amount of soap you use?

Both sinks are connected to one pipe. You will have to rinse you dishes before you let the water out of the sink.

Probably a partially clogged drain pipe. The water should flow down the drain pipe but if it is partially clogged the water will back up. Try Draino or something like that.

when you drain the sink let water run down in the other side to push the soap down the drain...
