We have decided to visit the Winter Efteling. The only question in our mind is: Is it worthwhile to stay in a hotel near Efteling or can we visit all the attractions at the Winter Efteling in 1 day? We cannot go back in the night and then come the next day morning because of the distance involved.

Please advise.

Myself, wife and two Grandchildren visited the Efteling in July. We arrived at 1000hrs.(opening time) and were there until 2100hrs (closing time), and although we were on many of the attractions we didn't manage all of them. It must be remembered, of course, that this was school holiday time in The Netherlands, and there were queues for all the rides, some longer than others.
I don't know how many of the attractions are open for the Winter Efteling, or what the opening times are, but this may give you some idea.

*edit*
I have had a look at the Efteling site and I see the opening times are 1100hrs to 2000hrs (11am to 8pm) for the Winter Efteling. I also note that most (if not all) of the big Roller Coasters are closed including 'The Flying Dutchman', 'Pegasus', 'Python' and the Bobsleigh Run etc, but there are added 'winter attractions' such as skating and skiing etc. plus there are loads of other attractions, so with this in mind, I would say "yes" you have time to see everything in one day. However it is of course, entirely up to you.
Do not miss 'Villa Volta' !!!!

Hi, Great choice to go to the Efteling! In winter there is usually the special " christmas time" It depends with how many people you are going and their ages. If you take children things will take longer, and children will probably need more time to really take things in. The park has recently celebrated 50 years anniversary and every year more attractions are being added. I'd suggest to take more then one day, really relax and take it all in. It will be a great experience. ( dress warmly though, it might be very cold) ENJOY!

Efteling is not as huge as Disneyland Paris for example. It's possible to do all, or at least most of the attractions in one day. It depends on the amount of people there ofcourse.
