My dog, a doberman, her first time, gave birth to 7 healthy puppies. She gave birth last sunday 4am until 8am. She seem fine and is acting normal exept that she doesn't want to drink plain water, she only want to drink milk. Her appetite for food is OK, also. But then i am worried because her bleeding still hasn't stopped. Is there anything i could give or do for her, apart from bringing her to the Vet, to stop the bleeding. Or this is just normal. Please help.

Thank you!

I don't know about dogs, but after I gave birth (and all women) I bled for about 5 weeks. Think of the place on her womb where the placentas were attached from those puppies - they were pushed out with the pups and left big "wounds" inside that do bleed until they heal up. As long as the clots are not huge (golf ball size), and the flow isn't EXTREMELY heavy, she should be ok.

There is a Pets category that might be of better help. This category and subcategory are for human pregnancies, babies and children.
