People vote thumbs down most times just because they don't agree with your answer.Now that's just mean.Not to mention stupid.Somebody gave me a thumbs down because I said I can't whistle (the question was:can you whistle? and my answer was:no). Thumbs down is not supposed to be used like this! If somebody really answers the question, regardless the fact that you agree or disagree, that's a good answer.You cannot give people thumbs down because they have a different opinion.I only give thumbs down when people don't answer the question and just write random stuff in order to get the 2 points.I also give thumbs down when somebody is very rude or offensive.

No I do NOT. BUT If I do give a thumbs down it is because the answer is totally stupid or has nothing to do with the question. I see some as I have just mentioned and I'll give a thumbs down to those. BUT I will also gives thumbs |UP for good answers too.

I don't vote thumbs down. If I don't like the answer I leave the thumbs down to the asker.

I occasionally will give a thumbs up or down depending on how good or bad the answer is, but I don't do it for no reason at all.

I never thumbed down anybody who had a different opinion than mine but....when the answer becomes "rude, vulgar and hurtful" to me or other answerers, I will thumb down people.

Well, I only give people thumbs down if people give answers that doesn't answer the question or that they are rude.
