I'm really self conscience with the way I look, And constantly I look in the mirror and can't stand how fat I look.
I feel like I have The biggest stomach, especially after I eat.
I am 5"4, 15 years old, Female, And 86 pounds, I never got my period, and I am a size 32A in bras, and a size 0 in clothing. I try to eat only healthy, No soda, No Junk food, or Fast food, Fruits and Veggies, Lots of water, organic things,And I exercise at least 4 days a week, for about an hour. i am almost always cold, and shivery, and shaky, and dizzy.
On a daily basis I eat about 500-700 calories a day. I feel like I should be eating less. SOmetimes I make up excuses for not eating.
I really think I'm huge, please don't take this question as a joke.
Is this anorexia? Am I fat? Am I starving myself?

I think that you are on the path to anorexia if not already there. You are describing all the classic signs, and a normal diet is 1500 calories for a girl your age and size. 500-700 will starve yourself. You really need to go and talk to a doctor or your parents. If you don't think you can do that here are toll-free numbers you can call from anywhere to talk to someone.

Yes.

You are starving yourself, and it shows, you wrote, "i am almost always cold, and shivery, and shaky, and dizzy".
If you are not care full you will die in few years, or you will not be able to function. I would change the life style and add more calorie to the the day's intake.

It does not matter who you are even when you are sleeping you burn at least 60 calorie per hour. So you must eat according to Body Mass Index, table, for your age, activity level and body frame type. So if you double your calorie intake slowly, then you will not put on any weight, as long as you keep doing every thing else the same, and add few stomuch exsercises to retone your stomach, mussels. At your present calorie level the empty stomach is full of gases, mainly air and that is expanding inside the stomach as you fuel it a little, gasses expand ten to 12 times more then the food, so as the body temperature goes up the gases inside the stomuch is putting undue strain on the mussels, so be very care full and start eating more, feel your stomach with proper amount of food. Some (so call) healthy foods have tendency also of creating lots of gases, in the stomuch.

As far as big stomach goes all starving people have that as a main characteristics.

But you may also have a defective mirror, that makes you look fat, buy a good mirror and use it, go to a major discount hardware store and check them out and buy the one that makes you look slightly slimmer.

Your weight must also be per Body Mass Index table.

Most female have problem having a child if they do not have enough fat on them, so go see a doctor and have the fat level checked also. As an young female, you may have problem with your monthly cycle also, if your level of fat is not per Body Fat Level Index(read about it on Internet).

You must have depleted all the fat and you are using up the mussels, that is the main reason for your being dizzy.

By what you describe it does sound like the start of an eating disorder. The fact that your always cold and dizzy is because you are not eating enough for the amount of activity you are doing.

A lot of eating disorders are to do with the mind and the fact that you see yourself as fat. A size 0 is definitely not fat. You are still very young and your body is still growing and changing. The fact that you are limiting your calorie intake could lead to illness and possibly turn into something serious. The fact that you exercise a lot and are only eating little has probably effected you getting your period. A lot of anorexic girls stop getting periods.

A lot of young girls magazines, the tv and pressure from school friends can be really stressful and make young girls feel like they have to be really thin.

Please speak to your parents or someone close to you and explain how you are feeling. You really should seek professional help before things get out of control and you become ill.

ooh youre just like me. i always ask if im fat, and people are like , "NO WAY! your likee a twig!" ,and that helps a little ,and then later im in front of my mirror staring at my body. im really skinny but i dont see it that way. i dont think your anorexic. but how much are you NOT eating? if it's a little, start eating normal again causeif you continue you will be in trouble. i eat about that many calories a day too. DONT EAT LESS THAN THAT. eat a little more actually. i havent goten my period yet either, which IS a sign of anorexia( but dont worry a WHOLE lot about it).i dont eat a lot of junk either. i have a soda a week and excecise at least 6 days a week. yea you can have some junk. you dont have to eat a lot, but you can have SOME. i am shivery too. some girls (like me and possibly you) look in the mirror and see someone totally different. i do. my mom is thinking of taking me to the doctor cause im obsessed with not being fat. maybe you should go get some help. tel your parents. maybe they can set you an appointment with your doctor. they can help you. you need it. go see your doctor for treatment. try to eat around at least 1500 calories. just eating a little more can save your life. always shivering and being cold and dizziness are bad signs. ulp i think should actually talk to a doctor. i have those too....but anyway this is abou you.

It sounds like anorexia (do you have heavy, pale fuzz on your arms and elsewhere?)

Your body mass index (BMI) is 14.8 - lower is thinner, and anything below 18.5 is considered underweight. Your body isn't developing normally (no periods), and you "almost always" show some signs of low blood sugar. Despite that, you think you're huge - that mismatch between physical signs and your own feelings is part of anorexia.

Eating a healthy diet is good, but there has to be enough of it. A typical adult diet is 2000 calories per day (more or less). For a petite woman, the number would be lower - 86lb is about half of typical adult weight, so I'd guess that at least 1000 calories would right. 500 is way too low.

I sincerely hope that you learn to take proper care of yourself before you cause serious harm.

To answer your question first of all you need to understand what anorexia nervousa is.
anorexia is a mental and physical condition it starts by being concious about what you look like that maybe you are not as slim as someone else that then turns into the i must be eating too much stage so you cut down.
The trouble is the weight doesn't seem to be coming off as quick as you would like so you cut down more and after a while you look in the mirror and even though you may have lost weight you still see yourself as fat so you cut down till you are virtually starving yourself. The trouble is your stomach inside shrinks as well as outside and eventually shrinks to the stage where you can't eat solid food. you say that you are eating between 500-700 calories a day, really including drinks your body should take in between 1000- 1500 calories a day at least .This is then burnt off through exercising.
your weight should be about 7 and a half - 8 stone at least.
Your body is telling you that you are not taking in enough food which is turned into energy and heat your body also you say that you are shaking and going dizzy this is because of lack of vitamins.
you do really need to see your doctor he will put you on a course of multivitamins and also get you to increase you daily intake of calories he will also get you counselling as to find out what is making you feel fat and address those problems as i said you can't fight the physical side without dealing with the mental anguish.
You will also be taught how and when to weigh yourself this is important so that you don't slip back.

Hope this helps and don't worry you have already taken the first steps to beating this.

sorry but forgot to mention that if you are not eating properly this will also hold your period back ladies that have anorexia do not have periods this is due to malnutrition.

What i have written may have scared you and i appologise for that but i went though a stage where i dropped two and a half stone in two weeks i had convinced myself that because i was 12.5 stone 5.6 inches i was fat so should only eat one meal a day untill i was slimmer.
i went down to 9 stone after 3 weeks and was still thinking i was fat.
my boss was told and she made me sit with her at lunch so that i ate something.

you're going to make yourself sick (if you aren't already) on 500-700 calories a day when you need bare minimum 1300. Some girls get their period in high school so don't start worrying, yet. You'd get your period around the same time your mother did. I have no idea why you're so concerned with yourself when you should be super concerned, especially at your age< about getting good grades, educating yourself and planning your career so you can survive later on in life. If you can't get yourself going right then see a psychologist and if you're sick they will send you to a psychiatrist where he will put you on medication. Those are the people to ask.

Your big stomach probably is from too much water or you're about to start your period.

I think your really need to talk to a professional about this. Even the fact that you always feel cold, shivery, shaky and dizzy is a worry. Its great that you want to eat healthy and exercise but you can take it too far. Go and see your doctor.

I do believe you are anorexic. At least you are able to recognize there is a problem. You need to see your Dr. and get started now for treatment. Already you are experiencing some of the symptons that your body is in distress (dizzy, cold) At the least you may have dysmorphic body disorder where you think your body looks differently than it appears to other people.
Good luck
