just start with a thought something you want to right about just poot words that sounds nice together and you might come out with somthing like this.....
Oh my love you have given my
Heart away to sister winter
Now I am as cold as ice
I let you roll the dice
now my heart is made of
Stone cold ice
My love your face is now a
blear oh my heart has been
Ripped apart
oh my thoughts that I would
Return to summer time but all
I feel is nothing but ice
Oh my love as these icy words
Fall off my tongue I will wish
You the best but I will be the
One to lay you to rest
My shaky hands and blue face
My soul a cold dark place why
Did you give my heart away
The snow flakes are beautiful
But that are all I see oh my
heart is now sister winters
Oh my love you were the best
But know but now my heart has
Been ripped out of my chest and
I don't feel your breath
My heart was ones a brining
Flame but now its a icy grave
And your to blame
So I wish you all the best as
I lay here with me heart ripped
Out of my chest
i was thinking about how cold it is and how my insides were freezing and this is how it came out

Poetry needs individual Talent & Enlightenment, that happens unexpectedly, unattempted
The object can be anything , but with the two of it the poem itself survives the poet.
Many people writes poems just for their own pleasure.
Write poems only if you do not mind if your poem survives you.

Start writing from a point where you feel strongly about something--use that as the impetus to write. Free write for 10-30 minutes realizing that 99% of what you write will be garbage. Look for the one line, the one idea that keys in on what you are really trying to say. Begin writing again from that point. Use imagery to show the reader what you mean. Use words that appeal to the senses. Do not get weighed down with tons of abstract words, adjectives, or adverbs. Try to not get "too poetic". Try not to invert the syntax of your sentences.
Hundreds of other things, but hopefully something in that ramble will be helpful to you.

Just write a letter of your thoughts, write a lot. Then take words from your journal and start arranging them so that they will flow and sing to your soul. Your thoughts become poetry. Once you get the hang of it you'll start writing them in your head and it comes out easily.

There are a lot of different styles of poetry.
Everyone has types of poetry they like and don’t like.
So don’t worry about trying to write poems that everyone likes it cant be done.
Just write from your “soul” and with practice your writing will keep getting better and better.

Read a lot of good poetry. Pay attention to how your favorite poets use language. There's no better training for a beginning writer.

ok i.m not a good answer but i try my best.
heres one its kinda cheesy; the truth is never pretty.
the truth is never nice.
the truth will hurt you so.
freeze you cold like ice.
they say love is most beautiful.
while others cry in despair.
some are also foolish.
to love something thats not there.
i was one of them.
stupid i was.
i made him my everything and now i.m left crying and yet nobody knows. this pain within me. my pitiful please.
so continue to shun me. continue to not care. these holes within my heart. will always be there. but i just need you to know. hope you could see. it doesn't really matter. if you love me or not. i want you to know. though my heart you pleased in life or death. my love for you will never fade..

Just write it down. Or if you have a computer, turn off the monitor and type whatever comes to mind. When your done, print it and see what you have; that way you can just edit what you already wrote.
