Vinnie, I really have no allegiance in college football. I went to Georgetown (div III) and UVa (ugh).

WVU would LOVE to play the buckeyes.
They are soft, their fans are soft, and they would be WISHING that they could go back a year and get whooped by Florida.
Me personally would rather play Mizzou because we would blow out OSU so bad everyone would say OSU didn't deserve to be there. (again)

This is the 2ND time I heard that a high ranked team was the underdog.
Early in the season, the Illini were favored over and won against #5 Wisconsin, Illinois was unranked at the time.
The BCS is messed up.
Dear Jack:
Do you need a tissue? I'm sorry your team is not #1, and to think they are trying to put Ohio State in the Championship game. You are kidding right? LSU was #1 twice this year, and managed to lose 2 weeks after getting that title. The first time they went from #1 to #5, then they managed to get into #1 before losing again. Now they go from #1 and they are once again #5. Ohio State lost and went to #7, and they had no previous losses. Where is the NC game this year? New Orleans. Go figure!!!!
Don't blame me, blame the people who vote on the polls for your all mighty team not being #1, or maybe because they lost. Blame the wonderful BCS if that makes you feel better, the bottom line is Ohio State is getting the votes and your team is not. So, go ahead an cry a little more and say it's not fair because I really don't care what YOU think would happen. We can "what if" all day long. So, if you think OK would beat Ohio State by 30 points, go ahead an keep your fairy tail dreams alive. I don't care because Ohio State is #3, and they still have not made the NC game. All I know is the Buckeyes are going to the Rose Bowl and possibily the NC game, and I'm happy with that.
Oh, and next time you want to rant, try to use some of your own thoughts.

For the past few weeks I've picked W. Va and OSU to go to the NC game because they have a better chance than all others. Mizzou is ranked #1 by default. You win, you move up. Yes, they beat Kansas and jumped from 4 to 1 but no one actually believe they're the best team in the country and whoever this years champion turns out to be, will be the champion with a whole lot of controversy. A lot of people will say that the 2 best teams are playing elsewhere and we really don't know who is best right now.

Because everyone knows that OKLAHOMA is the best team in the country! Even without three of their best players, they are favorites. Maybe we should let Las Vegas run those stupid polls. I bet OU would be a ten point favorite over Ohio State right now, but the pollsters are still trying to put them into the title game. The Big-12 winner should be in the title game no matter who wins the game.

Mizzou being number 1 has nothing to do with point spreads in Vegas. Higher rated teams are underdogs all the time. Seeing as how they are playing an opponent that has already beaten them, they are dogs. If Oklahoma, or any other team knew how to take care of the teams they are supposed to (Colorado, Stanford, Illinois) then they supposed marquee teams would be ranked higher.

The BCS botched the standings this year. Everyone was saying LSU is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but every game I watched the defense gave up massive points. USC got beat by some average teams and still people are saying they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Give me a break.
need to take the top 14 or 20 teams and have a playoff scenario.
Yes, buckeyes vs west virginia would be sweet.

Yes the BCS is screwed up and a terrible system. But it is also not as far off as most of you think. Teams still need to take care of their business. When they don't you drop.
I am all for a playoff, it needs to happen but do you really think think that it will stop the annoying LSU, USC, SEC etc. fans from thinking they are still a better team that the winner if they lose. Especially SEC fans, they love to justify why their teams lose.

why is it that u always need ohio state are mich,fla are some other schools in the championship game .let the other have a chance it just might be a great game to see.i nwould love to see a missouri vs wviginia game .give missouri a chance with chase in there.hes a great qb with some great other players on there who happen to be freshman and soph

The bcs screwed up this year, like every year. They will lose to OU and it will WV and Ohio State in the title game.
