Hey I prefer the rugged look I think as long as its not scruffy but I do like a man to look classy too.
As far as the facial hair goes I do like a man with a beard to a certain degree, but totally shaved is better. A mustache is a no no for me I'm afraid, don't like them.

totally shaved and rugged shirt half open, but it would also depend on the occasion, like I would be offended by the lack of effort if we were going out on a nice dinner date or something.
