can anyone tell me how to keep pet hair from clogging up vacuum cleaner?

Vacuum more often so that you are not pulling up as much hair at one time.

I use a broom and sweep the carpet before vacuuming. Pull hair wads off of the broom bristles.

Then theres a Dyson Animal Vaccum, specially for pet hair and seems to work great.... but the downside is price!
