I read the LA Times homicide report, and I've noticed that's all the known murderers have been male.
What social/biological/other difference makes men so much more likely to kill a person?

It's called testosterone:

Some argue that testosterone predisposes men to aggression. This has been borne out in part by studies that show men who abuse steroids while bodybuilding are more aggressive and explosive than those who do not.

It is beyond argument that men have more testosterone in their circulation than females and that men are more aggressive.

Typically, males produce about 25 times as much testosterone per day as females.

Male testosterone levels peak in the late teens and remain high until the mid-20s: precisely the time in which male aggressiveness and violence is most common.

Not every one has the same opportunities as the other, in this day and age things are getting tougher. One child costs around $180,000 from birth till 18 and that's just for starters. Not everyone really knows what they are getting into here.........the game is really called survival..........but no one really tells you this or the real emotions that go with it. You are marked head of house hold...........without full understanding of what that may mean. Males today really have their head in the noose. Survival, now it would not surprise me if they didn't find out that a slight few are indeed women because they are starting to become head of house hold...........and that title carries the mandate of survival. And a human being will do any thing to survive. The rules were set up for a male head of house hold ................not for single mothers ...........or widows for example.

Higher testosterone levels. Also, men are not always the murderers. Women are just sneakier about it and it is harder to catch them. Women who kill are more apt to work at nursing homes and hospitals and kill people in their care without suspicion because the person was already sick to begin with. Women are also more likely to use poison which may or may not be traceable.

High Testosterone can cause more fits of anger which could lead to more violent types of crimes resulting in death.

More than women do, yes. I don't know but I suppose you could blame some of it on testosterone. You could also blame a lot of it on stupidity and cruelty.
