The past is a part of who I am.

Also, I have memories and I do think about them.

I cannot say that I have left the past behind, however, I always have goals, things I want to accomplish - so perhaps I am looking forward to the future.

And I just thought of something else, even yesterday is the past - and every moment is passing.

Marcel Proust wrote "In Search of Lost Time" - as a way of showing how precious time is and that must include the past.

I used to but I'm trying not to. It's just too painful and a waste of time. If you live in the past, you won't experience the "now" until it's well into the past. Why experience today a few years from now?

No.
Live in the present. Learn from the past. Plan for the future.

Nothing can be accomplished by living in the past. whats done is done. If you are religious, pray for forgiveness, acknowledging your past as been incorrect, then change your ways, start a fresh new beginning.

Yes. I haven't been 8 for 14 years... but it would be so sick to be 8. No responsibility. No worries except for whether or not chocolate milk will be available at lunch today. Those were the days.
