Would a short lead male actor in an action type film put you off watching it? By this i mean; due to the Hollywood stereotype of "Tall and Handsome" men in such roles, would you feel that a short guy was realistic for the situation or have we all been brainwashed in to believing that "this would not be real". I think you only have to be over 5'3/5'4 to be a Royal Marine so there must be some pretty tough short guys out there.

how tall are Al Pacino , Tom Cruise.??? ... they're pretty short... aren't they ?? ....but what a success!!!!...
however... don't believe at all 'the taller the better'...

In an age where hand to hand and melee combat have become victims of technology, I think the stature of a person plays less of a role in the ability of that person to be a hero.

Unfortunately Tom Cruise destroys your otherwise valid point.

He is quite obviously a pathetic ****, no matter how much make up, special effects trickery and leather you dress him up in.
