to make sure that the case of Gillian Gibbons is dealt with "properly" as he was in the case of the McCanns or have the government gone back to their policy of not interfering in foreign internal affairs. Oh yes, sorry I forgot, Gillian Gibbons is just a primary school teacher from Liverpool, she doesn't work on Government committees or have influential friends in high places. Will any rich benefactors come out of the woodwork to help her, I doubt it. This poor woman who has spent her life CARING for children rather than neglecting them will be left to face the music alone over her mistake unlike the McCanns whose "mistake" has made them millionaires.

Okay, I'm probably going to be accused of generalising or stereotyping here. But this woman is accused of insulting Mohammed yes? Remember all the fuss about that cartoon? The government don't want to do anything because it will cause upset among muslims...which POSSIBLY might mean terrorist attacks in their eyes. If we go and says 'your religious laws are wrong' it adds fuel to the fire.
The government are wimps, and don't want to fight, they'd rather a poor woman suffered than stand up for what is 'right'

Well I thought that was what the Diplomatic service is for. So things are done through channels so why the PM would get involved so publicly in other cases I would like to know.
Come on other politicians, why not ask the question at Question Time on a Wednesday in parliament. As if!

Right again Trancebabe. It seems Gordy pulled out all the stops for Gerry in the early days and since, but no such help for this poor woman, who has done nothing wrong, was trying to help teach children, and who must be absolutely terrified!
I cannot imagine the fear she is enduring, Gordy is a big let down to me.
