If given a clean area, with clean water, they will choose it over a mud puddle every time. They are capable of abstract thinking; they learn things in one try. They will choose one corner of their pens to manure in, instead of all over. They make great pets.

They are expensive to feed and vet bills are high.

actually pigs are considered one of the smartest animals on earth,they serve man as pets, livestock, and food. they are great and in reality a pen of pigs dont smell no more than a pen of cattle

We use to have a pig, and she was the smartest and coolest pet we ever had. People would take pictures of us when we took her walking. She was so loving.
I can't think of a thing that I hate about them.

I like their intelligence and friendliness but oh, the odor. I don't care for their eating habits and some can be downright nasty in temperment. Piglets are cute for a minute.

Their oder really puts me off getting pigs on my farm.
