Faith, you and I both know there is no credible proof to back up this claim.

There isn't any. People who insinuate thay they maliciously killed their daughter have no compassion, and they have no proof. Everything about this case is speculation, and we don't know if the PJ have evidence that suggests it, or if the PJ have evidence to suggest Robert Murat did it, or any other person for that matter. Nobody knows more than anyone else.
EDIT: There is a piece of evidence locked away in Birmingham lab which could decide Kate and Gerry's fate. It's a small square of carpet (confirmed by Clarence Mitchell) which allegedly contains bodily fluid from Madeleine. The experts have taken into account the fact that it could have been transferred by clothes, and will say whether it was or not when they send it to the PJ. Clarence has also admitted that the McCanns' scientists have not had access to this piece of evidence, which could flaw their defence. I hope Madeleine was not in the boot, because then there is still the possibility that she is alive.

No but there is no proof that they didn’t either. What we do know is that if they hadn’t left their children alone that night Madeleine would still be here.
They have refused to answer vital questions from the Police and their story is full of contradictions. The Police suspected them very early on but either doesn’t have or can’t reveal the proof at this stage.
The way this whole case has been conducted, by the McCann’s unnatural and arrogant (to say the least) behaviour and their use of high profile people to persuade the public that they are innocent has only fuelled the already suspicious minds……. They have brought all this on themselves and in my opinion care only about themselves and how they are perceived.
The Police made them ‘Main Suspects’ and they still are. That in its-self is self explanatory…… Anti- McCann, Pro-Madeleine…

Of course there is no proof of anything other than the cold hard fact that Madeleine is missing. Like Welsh Cake, I can't wait to see the answers too. Give the McCann's a break and have a bit of compassion, they are about to have the festive season without their much loved daughter. They are guilty of nothing more than an error of judgement.

Well there is no credible evidence that Madeleine was abducted either, is there? not that I know of..
I don't know what happened that night, other than 3babies got neglected.
The finger points to the McCanns because stories keep changing, they would not allow any drug testing to be done on Madeleine's younger siblings (Gerry said himself, the children slept so soundly that night that it made HIM wonder if sedatives had been used.. Panorama!!) If you suspected anyone (other than yourselves) had drugged your children, wouldn't you want to know with what? I would.. I wouldn't care what the rest of the world already thought of me!!
When the McCanns were bought in for questioning they refused to answer.. Well why?? Again if my child had gone missing, I would answer any question put to me, to try and help find her.. NO BODY in the world would judge me more harshly than I judged myself, if the result of my actions meant my child had gone missing.. AND I would admit it, and beg everyone not to do the same stupid 'mistakes'.. not try and defend myself on the indefensible..
The 'smell of death' was on cuddle cat.. how was that explained? .. Kate takes it to work on a regular basis.. Cuddle cat was supposed to Madeleine's comforter toy.. I cannot separate my daughter from her favourite toy for hours at a time.. She'd be hysterical.. and why would you take your child's toy to work with you anyway?
Bodily fluids in the car? explained by dirty nappies from the twins.. and transporting them to their new villa.. apart from the fact Portugal has big street bins (at least one in every street!!) were residents take their rubbish (and they get emptied at least once a day) who would transport dirty nappies around with them to put into another bin in a new home??
And why did they feel the need to hire p/a's? lawyers? not just one lawyer..and how did they have the presence of mind to immediately start a fund? a business fund?
None of their actions scream innocent to most of the world, and a lot of us watch in disbelief at their conduct..
Innocent or guilty ..of murder??? I don't know.. do you know??

Can anyone give me any credible proof that they didn't?
They are guilty of neglect though. How can it be called an 'error of judgment'? Reversing into a car because you thought the parking space was bigger is an error of judgment, leaving your 3 very young children alone, where they cannot be seen or heard is premeditated neglect. You know that anything can happen to anyone of them at any time, but they still did it over and over again!!!!! This was not them being naive, it was pure stupidity.
(by the way, i do NOT think that they killed her. Just making a point that NOBODY can PROVE anything, yet......)

I am just so sick of reading this story and having so many conflicting articles on it!! I hope she is safe and well and it gets resolved soon! Oh and my husband was saying the other day that of course the private detectives are going to say that she is alive and in another country - because the minute they dont have a lead then they will be paid off!

A question surely better aimed at the detectives and laboratories who are working on this case. It is possible, but unlikely any of them are hanging around on Yahoo Answers.
The police made them suspects for a reason, same as Murat.
Let's wait and see what the carpet brings.

If there was, they would have been arrested, charged and in front of a judge and jury.
There is no proof. Actually, I don't think some people know what the McCanns are actually guilty of, they just know they must be "guilty" of something.
