The bleeding is bright red and different than the lochia, and I have had no other complications that I am aware of. I had a class two tear, and I have been trying to be careful of my stitches and listen to the doctor's instructions. The pain is usually sharp and sudden, then fades slowly over time. I am trying to determine if I should be concerned, and if it is worthwhile to push for an appointment from the over-busy doctor's office that is covered by my insurance.

Yes, I would be concerned and push for an appointment to see the doctor about this because of the fact that this blood is bright red and could be an indication of something.
