It doesn't generally happen too much in nursing....the right people tend o get promoted....but when you're talking about NHS Hospital Management, it definately rings true!

You ARE talking about the Peter Principle, right?

The Dilbert Principle smacked my coworker last week. She'd applied for a Team Leader position, and was turned down. Management told her it was because she wasn't good with handling angry patient situations. Ironically, last month she was commended in the newsletter for her skill in doing just that. Management! Go figure. I guess she wasn't incompetent enough for them.
