They work but, you have to choose the right brand for you.
In most cases, prescription nasal sprays work better than over-the-counter ones.

The dristan type and any that have the same ingredient works quite well but prior cautions to addiction are true .Occasional use only!
If you need something all the time I suggest one of the saline sprays .it's not addictive.

afrin works really good. the only problem is that sometimes it takes you longer to finally breath through your noise with no problem. it's somewhat addicting. so, they recommend not using too much. i don't know. when i'm sick and can't breath, i always use it and way pass the recommended dosage. takes me awhile to get off it but i always do. it's especially good for nights. it's hard to get a good nights rest when you can't breath through your noise.

they work but my dad got so addicted to them that he could not breath without it!! No lie, be very careful!!
