when printing labels using a mail merge, the first couple are clear, the bottom half of the page is so distorted it's unreadable.
only seems to happen with labels, and same thing with two different printers, so something to do with my Microsoft Word

the problem has come from nowhere - was working fine until yesterday!

any help appreciate - thank you!

I dont think MS word has to do anything with any part of a single printout. Make sure your paper comes out freely after printing without getting disturbed by the printer tray or something.

Else try reinstalling Word, check your ink level, clean the ink cartridge often cos if u r not using it often the ink get dried sometimes.
Use the printing devices' maintenance software utility.

What kind of printer are you using ?
If a LASER, make sure labels are LASER COMPATABLE and printer driver is set to "label stock" and using the FLATEST paper path available (usually manual feed)

if inkjet make sure labels are INKJET compatable
