Emotion plays a large role in your decisions. Without emotions you would not be able to make the choice for you to get up in the morning.
When you are faced with a difficult decision you must consider the benefits and consequences of your actions. Those benefits and consequences will include emotional and logical outcomes.
For instance, my roomate and I wage a constant battle with the AC Temperature in the apartment. But we never SAY anything to each other.
So when I turn the temperature down on the AC, I make the emotional choice to increase his discomfort, while decreasing my discomfort. However, I make the logical choice to do that because I want to be more comfortable so I can sleep better and I realize it's easier to warm up than cool down (logic).
No decisions can be made without involving logic and emotion.

Brain first. Make your list of pros and cons. Make your decison and then sleep on it if possible. then your inner gut will let you know if it is the right decision or not. the heart is a stronger force but it can be lied to.
