I have not been sexually active since my period came on in the beginning of this month now its going towards the end of the month and its back and painful. when i looked on my tampon there were blood clots!!! wtf is going on.

Abnormal uterine bleeding, heavy menstruation or menorrhagia is usually the result of a hormonal imbalance.
Menstruation is often irregular or heavy during these times because, depending on hormonal levels, the ovaries may or may not release an egg. Another common cause of abnormal uterine bleeding is fibroid tumors.
Other causes of excessive bleeding that happens more frequently throughout your cycle can include:
* Cervical or endometrial polyps
* Lupus
* Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)
* Cervical cancer
* Endometrial cancer.
Women using intrauterine devices (IUDs) for birth control, may also experience excessive or prolonged periods. If you experience menorrhagia while using an IUD, the IUD should be removed and replaced with an alternative birth control method.
I would recommend consulting with your doctor/gynaecologist for further evaluation. They will need to run some tests in order to properly diagnose you with what could be the cause of this.

It could be that you need to drink more water. Clots sometimes come as a result of dehydration. Try drinking a bit more water before and during your period. If the clots are still bad, go to the gynocologist. Good luck and I hope you feel better!

There are a number of possibilities for what could be causing this such as infection but the only way to find out for sure is to see your doctor to have them evaluate the situation further to see what they think is going on.

you should go and see a doctor cause you might be having a mascarage and u need to go and clean your womb also so that you can be healthy go and see someone profesional please and fast and save yourself
