It now wants more money for the failing Northern Rock.

Even though the bank would be taken over in a £225 million deal and £billions of the debt paid off an most of the 6000 staff saved from a crap Xmas this 6.7% stakeholder says it's not enough.

Should they be told to shut up?
Your valued opinions please.

Well norm the shareholders should have bailed them out then, they are using a price for the company that was nearly a year ago. Its not worth now what it was worth then simple fact of business they new the risks when they bought shares.

Northern Rock is now only worth £225 million and at it's peak it was valued at 6 Billion. That's why the shareholders want to see more money paid for it. Richard Bransons not silly. He's not seeing what he's spending but what the company will be worth again when it's problems are over. As for the shareholders they can see that their shares will be worth minimum cash with the takeover bid of £225 million and they won't be getting as much as they did.

Branson's an opportunist, a bit of a vulture, he's hoping to get Northern Rock on the cheap and the shareholders who own the company are trying to get a fairer price.

Well it might not be worth now what it was then - because of the drop in house prices - but the point is it's worth a lot more than richard Branson is offering .. just look at how the share price is rising for one thing.

Told to shut up and keep quiet, many people have lost out in this debacle and as one person said the other day no one in this bloody government has helped out those poor people who paid money into Fairpak, the Christmas company, they lost all of theirs, where was the government then.
