first you need to check for leaks... fill the master cylinder and press the brake pedal down... get out and check under the car fro any puddles....if you see a puddle look to find the leak and find out what you will need to repair it... if there are no visible leaks coming from a blown brake line then check your wheels to see if a wheel cylinder has started leaking...replace as necessary and then bleed the brakes by filling the master cylinder (make sure you don't run out of fluid in the master cylinder) have someone repeatedly press the brake pedal and release until there is some resistance and then hold the pedal down.... there is a 5/16 or a 1/4 inch bleeder valve on all four wheels on the inside of the calipers/disk... while the pedal is depressed open the valve about 1/2 turn.. wait a second and close then have other person release the brake pedal and pump it up again....and repeat the process until there is no air coming from the bleeder... generally they start at the farthest from the master cylinder - passenger rear then driver rear then passenger front and last the driver front... if your car has a specific method follow it instead... good luck with it

If your pedal goes to the floors, then your brake system most likely has air in the system. It needs new brake fluid and a good brake bleeding to resolve the problem. This car is not safe to drive anywhere in this condition. If you bleed your brakes properly it should be firm pressure part way down.

GET TO A FORD DEALER SLOWLY and have them do a POWER BRAKE BLEEDING using ONLY FORD BRAKE and CLUTCH FLUID here! NO OTHER fluid should be used EVER! Your MASTER SEALS are leaking! BRAKE FLUID is an ESTER compound and this means it ATTRACTS water from the air! As it does so, it tuns BROWNISH and sediment falls out of the solution! Then it turns into LIQUID SANDPAPER and this will SCRATCH brake parts like GRIT! WATER LOGGED FLUID gets SLIMY and gets past vital brake seals! A FORD POWER BLEED will repair this QUICKLY for you! If it is TOO LATE, you may need a new MASTER CYLINDER< but it TOO must be POWER BLED! NO GRAVITY BLEEDING will work! BYE NOW!

If the pedal goes to the floor there is air in the system and a good possibility that the master cyl is bad. You also need to inspect the rear wheel cyl as they were bad for leaking on your car.Just putting fluid in is a very bad idea you need to find out what happen to your brake find the leak fix it bleed the system and drive on.
Good luck hope i helped

In a manual, you can engine brake by putting the car into a lower gear. Most auto's can do this to some degree by setting it to L, 2, or 1.

I agree with migeul, you probably blew out a brake disk, there's air in your brakes most likely. shops like midas can bleed your system for around 70, but that's not going to fix the problem, look to be spending about 350 to fix it minimum.

Have you recently had any brake work done? If so you probably have air in the lines and will have to bleed the system to restore proper brake pressure.

It could be any number of problems some of them are
1. you need brakes
2. you ran out of brake fluid and have air in the lines
3. This is the costly one- your brake master cylinder might need to be changed try bleeding the brakes and check them if that still doesn't work its probabally the master and it NEEDS to be replaced

You need to replace the brakes. Check the brake fluid, because it might be low.

Call a tow truck and take to a trusted mechanic. YOUR CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AT ALL.
Your car can cause alot of damage or possibly take a life since it has no brakes.
Let a professional fix your problem.
