So who will get the Republican nomination?

I had my cards vested in Fred but it seems he's lagging behind. Who do you all think will get the nomination?

I think Romney or Thompson. Giuliani is irritating and will not wear well on the electorate. Economic Conservatives will not back a Huckabee because he takes his social conservatism too seriously for their taste, and McCain is too old and too noble.

Hmm, let's see.

Here, I got it. {Took me a minute.} I know Giuliani put some dress on in dragg, yes.
But I think Romney is just ultimately just a touch too silly for the Republicans somehow, really.
So my guess is of course 1. Giuliani
but
I still leave a little room 2. to wonder if the Pubs are still looking hard for somebody to go flip the nomination race suddenly over like a flaming hamburger.

I don't count Huckabee or Ron Paul in for that, although I like them.

I think Romney has the best chance of winning the nomination right now. Fred has no enthusiasm. He doesn't come across as someone that wants to win which is why I don't think he has a chance. A large portion of the pro-life crowd won't vote for Giuliani and McCain shot himself in the foot with his involvement in the failed amnesty bill.

It will NOT be Romney...

Just because Ann Coulter is climbing up his butt doesn't mean the rest of the Christians in the GOP are that dumb.

It will be Guiliani probably because he is the only one OTHER than Ron Paul who could take votes from the Dems.

As a gay democrat, I LOATHE Fred Thompson... but I would sooner have him than Mitt Romney.

As a Democrat, I'd vote for liberal Giuliani except for one huge problem. He's a PNAC lapdog. If I wanted to answer to the Israeli govt. I'd move there.
