I recycle everything i can. Portland (oregon) is super green. But you still have to drop off styrofoam to recycle it....the recyclers wont process it curbside. So I never do the styrofoam (honestly); styrofoam gets trashed. Our recyclers pick up recycling same day as garbage day. Soda cans and bottles are a 5 cent deposit....a lil incentive...but makes for some weird encounters at the recycling bins. At least environmental progress is being intentionally made here.

I grew up recycling (when it was not so "cool" to do), so I do as I have been taught.
At one point and time we had no recycling places like there is now. I wish our small town we live in now was like Eugene Oregon. That place is great for recycling, so far that is the best place I lived for recycling.

Yes, we actually recycle more stuff than we put in the trash. We also use cloth bags for shopping most of the time.
