I guess that would be Dr. John Dixon, since the character Roger Thorpe died several years ago. To the best of my knowledge Dr. John's character is still alive.
That being said, Roger Thorpe was ruthless to the end. Remember Sebastian his son?

He was ruthless and vicious through and through.
