Not weird at all, just incredibly brave of you!
I'm from L.A. and I have seen lots of people show up unprepared for the reality of trying to find work as actors in that town (it's a zoo with a million people!).
Nothing wrong with following your dreams, but why not start right where you are? Whether it's theater groups based in community colleges, university, or just local community theater, they can be great places to get you started.
Whatever you do, don't do it alone and don't ever pay anybody to help you do it. There are so many charming criminal who prey on the dreams of others. That's another good reason to get to know people locally. Over time you develop will some skills and eventually develop solid relationships with other who share your interests. Of course your family should be your biggest supporter! Many successful people will tell you they could not have done it without the encouragement of friends and family. Resources like those are essential if you decide to head out to L.A. .

How old are you? Sounds like you're well on your way to being a pole dancer, but if you're serious about acting look in the newspaper, they're always hiring extras for commercials and movies in the newspaper, no matter where you live. Since you're probably already, already have, and if not then planning to take drama be sure to line up with a college to do so. Get some minors in cultural diversity and of course some acting classes. After you get whatever lame name of a degree they came up with for the acting school, have a collection of all the television commercials and movies that you were an extra in (called a portfolio). After you land a couple of semi-decent roles in a commercial you'll be recognized by a few people who will give you a shot in Hollywood as like the girl that carries the drink out to the table. Watch a few older movies, you'd be amazed what actors were in some of the extras roles, like waiters and bellhops before they hit it big. Anyways, if it was my dream thats what I'd do, but I'm not one for the spotlight, my words seem to piss off a lot of people (not politically correct or something like that).

Enough about your looks. GET REAL? CAN YOU ACT?!!! You are right you are one of the 999,999.99. Get a good education and find a good job. Then sign up for some acting classes and don't forget a SPEECH CLass to help you to enrich your dream. Don't just dream your life away.
Dreams might became reality. Only if you have a good game plan and work hard at it. Don't sit in front of the mirror.
Do something with yourself. Maybe you'll find out there's lot more to life than being an actress.

I think all nationalities have a chance to make it in showbiz and it's not about how good looking you are because if you're going to try it relaying on that only won't take you nowhere. you have to know what you want and WHY you want it once you figure that out you need to prepare yourself go to acting classes to find out if you've got talent that can be polished if you try relaying on good only that tells me that you haven't thought of the big picture, looks you'll.... need but nothing takes the place of talent. Think of it or a lot of people will try to just get you in bed because of your beauty and lack of talent.

I honestly think it's possible for any woman to be an actress... If you think you already had what is required, then just go for it...
Ask for help from people in this industry too so that you will know what to do... All the best... ^_^

Hmmm...it takes luck and skill (not looks) to become an actress. Not every actress looks pretty. The chick in "Hairspray" for example.

If you really really want to be an actress you will be. Not because your're beautiful and exotic, but because you are good at acting and you work really really hard. O.K.
