Because sometimes "getting there" is important to the man. It makes him feel good about himself. And sometimes during the act I'm just not all that into it. I have faked just a few times though. Normaly I don't have to.

Well, I am sure it is to stroke the man's ego...or they are tired, and they just want to sleep.
As for me, that is something I would never do..the reasons are because:
I do not sleep around: If I am with a man, it is because he is someone I plan to be with/ someone I love/care about deeply;...so why fool him? If i fake it, he will never learn what pleases me, and therefore, I would be the only one to blame if he could not ...uhm...finish things for me.
AND: If I fake it, he will never learn he has work to do..and what is the good of stroking his ego, at the cost of our future (or his future with someone else's) happiness?
Not worth it to fake it.

why do some men not know how to take care of their womens needs and thus require ,some women, the need to fake it ...perhaps that is the problem...once you go gray ...it's a whole new day ....

I used to in the very begining of the relationship cause i wanted to make him feel that we had good sex, that is if you're talking about an orgasm. Soon afterwards when i started to feel more comfortable with him, i started to let him know that i just couldn't *** and we would try something new to help me out.

Because when you fake it...the guy thinks it's good for her...hence he finishes faster...which she wants if it's that bad anyway.
