That is a good question. It seems that many people choose to believe in nonsense of many types. Bigfoot may be someone's pet belief, but people who believe in Bigfoot often also believe in other such nonsense and are not good at seeing truth. Truth is never sensational enough for them. I am oriented toward thinking, not sensation or feeling, so I do not allow petty likes and dislikes to influence me at all. If Bigfoot really existed, there would be some real evidence of it, rather than just wild tales and faked "evidence".

Most myths are based on some sort of fact. From a trick or the light to animals/people being mistaken for something else. Therefore as long as there is a myth there will be believers, especially in remote regions as there everything is not accessable and explainable, There you can actually believe in the impossible.

for the same reason they believe in the Loc Nes (don't know about the spelling) monster, spirits, and other such creatures. Science has taken away most of the mystery of the world, so we look to whatever we can find to put our faith in. The idea that there are some things that science can't answer is tantalising

bcuz of that video tape showing one "Bigfoot" walking on the shore(don`t know when was that captured or where but it was shown on a TV program like 2 days ago)
