I saw a bit where it was shown that the Steelers resodded their field. I'm assuming that's where the problem was?
I tell you, Miami's defense has to be P-I-S-S-E-D!

The field was a JOKE!! Cheap-@$$ Steelers use a cheap, sub-standard surface. I've seen better fields at High School & College stadiums!!!!!!
They said it was "re-sodded" Saturday. If the Steelers were'nt so CHEAP it would'nt have NEEDED to be re-sodded!!!

The field was awful. That was the biggest reason for the 3-0 game. But Pittsburgh still should have scored more then 3 points. The Dolphins still have a decent defense, but Big Ben was very efficient and accurate last night. I blame part of the Steelers problems on poor play calling. They weren't running the ball successfully and still called many running plays on 3rd and short when a short pass would have worked. They also had some key penalties that potentially stopped them from getting in the end zone. The Dolphins on the other hand getting shut out didn't surprise me a whole lot. The Steelers play great defense at home and the Dolphins might have the worst offense in the league. Thrown in some nasty playing conditions and you get a shutout.

Well, the resodded field was only PART of the problem. It's been raining buckets for the last 36 hours. The re-sodded field should NOT have been that big of a deal, but the rain just made it a sloppy mess. You can't throw the ball effectively in that kind of weather, and you can't get a good running game going if you can't get a decent footing.

they were playing in a rainy mud pit. plus miami couldnt score with the town whore. and who the hell cares about ricky williams, this game was so dull that they were building up the return of "cheech" williams. maybe he can go do some yoga after the game to feel better, but everyone knows he doesnt care about the game just the money. what a great teammate he must be

The field had been used for 5 games on Friday and Saturday (high school playoffs and Pitt-South Florida) so it was already in horrendous shape, and the rain before and during the game didn't help.

Miami scored the same as tey will against the Patriots and the Steelers scored more than they will against the Patriots.
