Great POVs, I was also thinking along the lines of justice. Whether its more important to have laws that represent the truth, or laws that are seen to be doing their job of enforcement, deterrence, and the delivery of justice.

You cold also apply it to politics, especially power politics.

This is the reaction of the nostalgia of the real and the desecration of the fake. It is all not learnt. Some of it is natural and real. Others create it but it sometimes isn't fake. So which is more stored, the truth or perceptions?

Perception is what you have from the knowledge that this is bag, this is red colour etc., and Truth is something which we still need to find by each and every Individual. The more influential is Perception in reality as many are non existing as far as Search of Truth is concerned.

Perception is definitely more influential in reality. Whether or not this is a good thing varies. Truth, in most disinterested cases, is more important, but ther are times when the perceived truth is better for our sanity.

Truth can vary from person to person. I'm not talking about mathematical or scientific observations, I mean philosophical insights. Perception is the only means we have at present to take in the information that is outside of our minds. Without a well honed perception, the 'truth' that we perceive will be less than accurate.

The more important is truth. But truth is a perception. And individual perception dominates the world view of most everyone in their reality.

I consider the 'truth' the ground upon which I walk. It is made of the irrefutable remnants of the past. And sometimes the truth hurts like getting hit with a stone. That is my perception of the truth.

I think truth is more important and more influential in reality. Perception has a lot of grey area.

Our perception can trick us, and do we really know what truth is? Can we be certain about anything? I'm not sure if I ever experienced truth, we as philosophers can be skeptics, and not accept empirical knowledge such as our truth and perception. Sure, I didn't give a clear concise answer, but you didn't give a clear concise question, and that my friend is the beauty of philosophy.

Most laws (and the severity of penalties) in the U.S. are based on perceptions, not facts. Truth = Beauty....good to look at, but you wouldn't want to live with it.

You didn't give me enough choices...

perception of the truth... or true perception...

Ah... these things I ponder.

I am going with "true perception of the truth." Yeah, that suits me. :)

Fun question. :)
