Sam or Samuel is a good first name with the pet name 'Sami', but not Sami as the first name.

It's a nickname for Samantha. If you want to call him Sammy as a kid I guess that is Ok, but he should have a proper name to fall back on. Name him Samuel and nickname Sammy or however you want to spell his nickname although Sami looks a little girly.

I like it, but I only like it if it is a nickname for Samuel. It sounds too babyish for a man as a full name. When hes older he can be called Sam, which is more masculine sounding too. But Sammy for a baby is sooo cute!!

Honestly I think of a sappy little mummys boy when I think of a boy named sami, think about when he is a teenager! at least name him samual and call him sami for short, then later its his choice! :) Just my opinion

I think it is cute when he is still a baby or a child but I'm sure if he will be a teenager or grown up he will prefer SAM for short.
